BioMedInnovations announced that it supplied the Sestan Laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience at Yale School of Medicine with its CaVESWave® organ and tissue perfusion platform to support the ex vivo study of the brain.
The CaVESWave platform was developed to provide controlled perfusion of organs and tissues outside the body, allowing researchers to manage parameters such as circulation and pulsatile flow within an experimental environment. The technology was designed for applications spanning organ and tissue research, preservation, and the investigation of physiologic responses under controlled conditions.
At Yale, the platform provided researchers with perfusion technology that could be adapted to the laboratory’s work investigating the cellular and physiologic characteristics of the brain ex vivo.
The collaboration reflected the broader research applications of BioMedInnovations’ perfusion technology and its potential to provide investigators with new tools for studying complex organs and tissues outside the body.
